This Privacy Policy describes how KogTrainer (the "App") handles personal information. By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this policy.
To calculate training zones, the App stores the following information on your device:
· FTP (Functional Threshold Power)
· Maximum heart rate
· Resting heart rate
· Body weight
The following data is stored on your device as a record of your training:
· Workout type, duration, and structure
· Measured values for power, heart rate, and cadence
· Derived values such as TSS (Training Stress Score)
Real-time measurement data from Bluetooth-enabled power meters, heart rate monitors, and cadence sensors. This data is acquired only during a workout and processed on your device.
When you connect with Strava, the App obtains an access token via OAuth authentication. The App uploads the data of workouts you complete in the App (time-series data such as power, heart rate, and cadence, along with the workout name) to Strava. The App uses upload-only permission and does not read your activity data on Strava. Strava may also collect Usage Data related to the App's use of the Strava API and use it for purposes such as improving its services, providing support, and ensuring compliance with its terms.
Only when you choose to send feedback from the Feedback screen in the App, the following is sent to the developer's email address via a server operated by the developer: the comments or bug report you wrote, and the App version and your OS type and version. If you enable "Attach diagnostics", the diagnostic information described below is attached as well.
Diagnostic information is a record of communication with Bluetooth devices: connection status, the capabilities each device reports, message counts, and communication errors. It contains no measured values such as heart rate or power. It also contains no name, email address, or location, and the App never generates or sends any identifier for you or your phone (no installation ID, advertising ID, or device identifier). Bluetooth device identifiers (such as MAC addresses) are replaced with per-session sequential labels before anything leaves your device. Device names are kept, because a problem specific to one model cannot be investigated without knowing the model, but digit sequences that look like serial numbers and the end of the name are masked. A device name is chosen freely by its manufacturer, however, so a string that identifies an individual unit may remain.
Diagnostic information is sent either as an attachment to feedback, or — only if you explicitly consent — automatically when a workout ends, including when you discard the record partway through. You are asked for consent the first time, and nothing is sent if you decline. Only the diagnostic information is sent; the workout record itself is never transmitted. You can stop automatic sending at any time in the settings screen.
Collected information is used solely for the following purposes:
· Calculating power zones and heart rate zones
· Creating, executing, and recording workouts
· Displaying and analyzing training history
· Providing AI workout generation
· Enabling integrations with external services such as Strava
· Investigating bugs and responding to support requests (feedback information)
· Investigating Bluetooth connectivity problems and improving device compatibility (diagnostic information)
AI workout generation uses only the rider profile and workout data stored on your device and does not use any data obtained from Strava.
Feedback and diagnostic information are used only to investigate problems, improve the quality of the App, and reply to you. They are never used for advertising or tracking, and are never shared with third parties.
As a rule, all data collected by the App is stored only on your device. Data is sent to external servers only when you explicitly use an external service integration (such as Strava), when you send feedback from within the App, or when you have consented to automatic diagnostic reports.
Feedback you send is kept in the developer's mailbox and is deleted once it is no longer needed to handle your report.
Automatic diagnostic reports are stored in a database on a server managed by the developer and are deleted automatically 90 days after they are received. Only the developer can access them, and access requires password authentication.
The developer will not provide your personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
· When you have given your consent
· When required by law
· When you use an external service integration (the privacy policy of the connected service then applies)
Because App data is stored on your device, uninstalling the App deletes all of it. You can disconnect the Strava integration from inside the App or from your Strava settings.
You can stop automatic diagnostic reports at any time in the settings screen. Reports already sent are deleted automatically after 90 days; if you want them removed sooner, please contact us via the support page. Note that because diagnostic reports contain nothing that identifies a user, we cannot determine which reports came from you.
We take appropriate technical measures to protect your data, but the security of data transmitted over the internet or electronic storage cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the App.

The Japanese version of this Privacy Policy shall be the authoritative text. This English version is provided for reference only. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the Japanese version and any translated version, the Japanese version shall prevail.
